Congratulations to Barb See and Bailey Merschman! We have just been informed that Mrs. See and Bailey Merschman have been selected to be honored at The University of Iowa's Belin-Blank Center Recognition Ceremony to be held on Oct. 17th. Mrs. See was nominated by Bailey Merschman, son of Tom and Amy Merschman, of Fort Madison. Bailey, a 6th grader at Holy Trinity this year, earned exceptional scores as a part of the Belin-Blank Exceptional Student Talent Search (BESTS) and was allowed to nominate a teacher who has had a significant impact on his educational achievements. Old Tennis Balls Needed!
If you have used tennis balls or new ones you don't want, we will take them. It helps keep our floors from getting scuffed up and keeps maintenance down. If you would please drop them off at the Jr/Sr high we would greatly appreciate it.

Justin Rempe is looking for Team Members! Justin, a 6th grader at Holy Trinity who lost his father this summer to cancer, is looking for team members for the Relay For Life Event that will be held Sept. 25th, from noon until midnight. If you would like to join his team or make a donation please call 372-1482 or 470-0016. Thank you in advance.

The state of Iowa requires all out of state, kindergarten and 9th grade students attending school in Iowa to have a dental exam. This exam must have taken place within the past year. Please take the following form to your dentist, have it signed and return it to the school office by September 30th. These forms will be audited by the state after October 1st.

If you did not pick up a t-shirt or place an order for your student and/or yourself at Unpack Your Backpack Night, here is your opportunity! An order form will be coming out in this week's Wednesday folder. Forms must be returned by Sept. 9th so we can place the order and get the shirts to you as quickly as possible. Shirts will be delivered to the school and sent home with your child. Thanks so much for supporting TAPS and showing your school spirit!

Watch for the HTC marching band this weekend in the Nauvoo, Grape Festival parade on Sunday. Parade time is at 2 p.m.

Congratulations to Courtney Abolt for winning the Keokuk Middle School Cross Country meet last night. Blake Hellweg also medaled by placing 7th in the boy’s middle school meet. Eion Powers placed 10th and Tanner Kelch placed 13th.

The Varsity Cross Country Boys placed 5th out of 7 teams. They were led by Noel Roberts, Trent Meyer and Josh Fullenkamp who finished 23rd, 24th and 25th respectfully. Julien Rashid and Dylan Menke rounded out the varsity team finishing 27th and 30th.

The Varsity Cross Country girls finished 2nd and were led by Ashlee Conrad’s 3rd place finish and Molly Conrad’s 6th place finish. Sara Abolt, Alyssa Houston, and Darcy Dochterman finished 13th, 15th and 21st. THANKS TO ALL WHO CAME AND SUPPORTED THE TEAM!!!!

There will be a Junior Class meeting on Tuesday, September 7th in room 203 during lunch study hall.

Band Members: Information for the Grape Festival Parade - The Holy Trinity Band will march in the Grape Festival Parade in Nauvoo, Sunday, September 5th. Band will meet in Nauvoo at the field next to the Fire Station at 1:10 PM. Make sure you have your instrument, flip folder, lyer, R.O.C.K. in the USA music and sticks. (Leave your instrument case with your parents) Wear, Khaki shorts, tennis shoes, white HTC Music shirt. Have your parents pick you up at the shelter house in the Nauvoo State Park.

ACT/SAT DATES:
The next scheduled test date for the ACT is October 23rd. Regular registration deadline is September 17th. A late fee is required between Sept. 18th - October 1st.
The SAT Test date is October 9th with a Sept. 10th regular deadline and Sept. 24th late fee deadline. please see Mr. Wilkerson if you have any questions.

Elementary School Times: Students are to be in their classroom by 8:20 AM
If your child arrives at school prior to 8:10 AM, they are to go to the gym with Mr. Moylan.
Students riding the shuttle bus from Roling Hall in Fort Madison to West Point need to be at Roling Hall by 8:00 AM.
On regular days, students not riding a bus can be picked up from the elementary building at 3:00 PM.
Parents may pick-up students from Roling Hall in Fort Madison at 3:05 PM.
On early out days, students can be picked up from the elementary building at 1:00 PM.
Parents may pick up from Roling Hall at 12:55 PM.
